Within the project „Implementation of the BH Law on state aid and better distribution of grants“, financed by United States Embassy in BiH, Centre for Policy and Governance (CPU) organized the round table “Reforming and modernizing the State Aid system to encourage economic development” in Banja Luka. This event, primarily intended for state aid donors, was opened by Radmila Mihić, chairman of the State Aid Council and Asja Čengić, executive director of the Centre for Policy and Governance.

Bosnia and Herzegovina began the process of state aid system reform, one of the most important commitments in the process of European Union accession. In order to support and improve this process, and to provide insight for experts and general public with state aid system and changes that will follow, the CPU within its project prepared an analysis with comprehensive overview of the state aid system in EU, and recommended basic guidelines and activity policies in BiH. Conclusions and recommendations from this document are the baseline for discussions of officials and experts on the following activities in the process of creating an efficient state aid system. The first round table was held in Sarajevo on 4.11.2013., and the third round table will be held in Mostar by the end of January of 2014.
